Job Description:
Job Title: Software Development Engineer
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract 9 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Typescript and React/Next.js.
- Implement modern CSS techniques, including frameworks like Tailwind CSS, to create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Develop and maintain serverless applications using core AWS services such as AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, and AWS DynamoDB.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring adherence to best practices and design principles.
- Apply software design patterns and architecture principles to create scalable and maintainable codebases.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Jest to ensure the reliability and quality of the software.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
Top 3 Skills/Must Haves:
- 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer, with a strong focus on Typescript and React/Frameworks like Next.js.
- Solid understanding and experience with modern CSS, including frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
- Hands-on experience with core AWS services, including:
- AWS Lambda
- AWS API Gateway
- AWS DynamoDB
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles.
- Experience writing unit, integration, or end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Jest.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
