 Malibu Boats, the world's leading towboat manufacturer, is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their team!  As Warehouse Manager, you will manage all facets of inventory control and warehouse operations in multiple warehouse locations and will be primarily responsible for inventory accuracy through the execution of counting activities including daily cycle counting and ensuring a clean, safe workplace.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Manager will achieve high levels of customer satisfaction in multiple warehouse locations through excellence in the following areas: Organization, Planning, Execution (physical and transactional) and Control of all warehouse operations including;

  • Receiving
  • Warehousing
  • Distribution / Delivery
  • Transactional Parts Issuance, Transfers, Adjustments, etc.
  • Transactional Closing of Manufacturing Orders
  • Care, Custody and Control of all Assets
  • Develops, recommends, initiates and/or enforces corporate, department, program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Accuracy (physical and transactional) of all parts, components and materials under the scope of responsibility through;
  • Cycle Counting Program
  • Daily Transaction Activitiesincluding, but not limited to, audit activities
  • Working cross functionally to resolve issues that affect accuracy such as BOMs, Pick Tickets, Routings, etc
  • Achieves or exceeds warehouse operations operational objectives of production, productivity, quality, customer-service standards, problem resolution, completing audits, identifying trends, etc.
  • Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene, housekeeping and security in the work environment.
  • Customer Focus:
  • Ensures audits are conducted of operational tasks to monitor quality of outputs
  • Meets regularly with internal customers to monitor the quality of service they are receiving and their expectations are being met.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers and suppliers by email, facsimile and telephone.

·       Develops, recommends and implements warehouse operations system improvements (including technology enhancements) by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, equipment requirements, etc.

  • Ensures that physical condition of warehouse and equipment is in a high state of operational readiness by inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • People:
  • Ensures warehouses are correctly staffed and that personnel are well trained and highly motivated.
  • Ensures personnel are cross trained to avoid gaps during absences.
  • Ensures job expectations are communicated at all levels.
  • Mentors, coaches, counsels, disciplines and executes corrective actions when required.
  • Measures, monitors and reports staff performance and progress to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Administration and maintenance of personnel time management data.
  • Develops and executes growth plans for warehouse supervisors and team leaders.
  • Plans and executes changes in support of model changes, production rates, capacity and/or schedule modifications.
  • Ensures departmental work instructions are maintained, accurate and in use for all tasks.
  • Participates in production planning and coordinates orders for parts and components from internal sources.

·       Reports productivity and efficiency performance by producing or oversight of regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

  • Produces management reports used by internal supply chain organization to maximize operational effectiveness.
  • Preparation of and execution to departmental budgets.
  • Recommends measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department including performance of personnel and equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.
  • Recommend and introduce technology enhancements to increase quality and efficiency while reducing the potential for human error.
  • Understanding of Hazardous Materials and the proper and safe handling of such.
  • Understanding of Shipping processes, procedures and execution both domestic and international.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of ERP/MRP and Inventory Control principles and concepts.
  • Supervisory skills and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret business documents and data.
  • Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
  • Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
