The Role 

This position will be responsible for supporting efforts undertaken by the Life Inforce Management team to safeguard and enhance the relationship between Lincoln and our policyholders.  This role will not only be asked to provide technical expertise, but will also be called upon to demonstrate strong communication skills, recognizing the varying audiences and appropriately adjusting approaches.  In this work, the team will engage complex factors such as regulation, legal considerations, actuarial and financial implications, external messaging implications, and operational capabilities.

 Actuarial

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement strategies and efficiencies to enhance management of inforce block
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy of administrative systems
  • Develop, maintain, and organize actuarial spreadsheets for use in broader efforts
  • Engage with legal, compliance, finance, distribution, and other key concerned parties
  • Monitor developments in actuarial techniques, Standards of Practice, Guidelines, and laws
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills, showing the ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment

The Program

The Actuarial Development Program (ADP) at Lincoln Financial Group is an industry-leading program that demonstrates Lincoln Financial’ s commitment to creating highly qualified business leaders.  As an ADP participant, you’ll be able to explore your unique interests while developing the essential actuarial, technical, management, communication, and leadership skills you need to succeed.
Program participants receive up to 175 hours of company time to study per exam sitting. Lincoln Financial Group purchases required exam materials and pays exam fees in advance for each program participant.

Requirements

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative major is required.
  • At least 5 SOA exams passed.
    Experience
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Actuarial positions that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of the position.
  • Strong work experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills and information
  • Strong curiosity and the ability to generate new ideas
