Job Description

Precision Process Techs (PPT’s) are required to use table and band saws. These saws are used to cut out material including straight and angle cuts. Training is provided which includes safety and lock-out tag-out procedures. Here a list of the type of saws we use.

PPT’s are expected to trim parts with razors and or knives. The knives are generally standard bread knives which allow deeper and less precision cuts.

Some PPT’s may use shears and scissors instead of razors (depending on the material and application).

PPT’s are also expected to heat from metallic parts, which includes setting up and removing parts from tools after oven treatments. The hazards include potential burn risk.
