Job Description:

Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract 9 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Typescript and React/Next.js.
• Implement modern CSS techniques, including frameworks like Tailwind CSS, to create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain serverless applications using core AWS services such as AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, and AWS DynamoDB.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring adherence to best practices and design principles.
• Apply software design patterns and architecture principles to create scalable and maintainable codebases.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Jest to ensure the reliability and quality of the software.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.

Top 3 Skills/Must Haves:

• 3+ years of experience as a full stack developer, with a strong focus on Typescript and React/Frameworks like Next.js.
• Solid understanding and experience with modern CSS, including frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services, including:
  • AWS Lambda
  • AWS API Gateway
  • AWS DynamoDB

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles.
• Experience writing unit, integration, or end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Jest.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
