Job Description
Director of Counseling and Student Support The Director of Counseling and Student Support is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the district's comprehensive school counseling program, student support services, and related initiatives across the district. This position oversees the implementation of the OCSD Comprehensive School Counseling Plan and serves as the district's McKinney-Vento liaison . The position is also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the district's comprehensive Multi-Tiered System of Support; specifically in the realms of social emotional learning and mental health and wellness. Qualifications: New York State certification in School Counseling, School Social Work, or School Psychology NYS certification as a SDL (required at time of application) Minimum of 5 years' experience as a school counselor or a related field and in educational leadership Thorough understanding of NYSED Comprehensive School Counseling Plan requirements Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience with data analysis and program evaluation Candidates can apply on OLASjobs.org Deadline to apply is August 22, 2025.
