The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Finance Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, helping ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information across the organization. As a member of the reporting team, you will collaborate with departments throughout Toyota Material Handling North America to support financial close activities, analyze financial results, and maintain compliance with accounting standards. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives, support external audits, and work on projects that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial reporting processes. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries related to accruals, deferrals, reserves, and eliminating entries.
- Analyze accruals and reserves, including inventory, slow-moving inventory, paid time off, and bonus reserves.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Prepare balance sheet analyses and support documentation for key financial accounts.
- Perform cash flow analysis and provide insights to support financial reporting and forecasting activities.
- Compile, analyze, and prepare internal financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated reporting packages for the parent company.
- Research accounting issues and support compliance with applicable accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement efficiencies.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audit preparation and support requests from external auditors.
- Prepare schedules and analyses supporting monthly financial reporting packages.
- Assist with asset, liability, and consolidated financial reporting activities.
- Support special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 + years of accounting/finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex accounting tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst.
- Experience with financial consolidations and corporate reporting.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and their application.
- Demonstrated process improvement mindset and experience implementing efficiencies.
- Experience supporting external audit activities.

- Enjoy the best of both worlds with a hybrid schedule—collaborate in person Monday through Wednesday at our Greene, NY office and work remotely Thursday and Friday.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $65,440 - $83,895 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience. Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
