AT&T, the second largest provider of mobile technology fixed telephony in United States, launched addition Wi-Fi services in New York City parks and they are Mineral Springs and Tavern on the Green in Central Park, Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park and Devoe Park in the Bronx. The first installation was in June, 2011. More than 4,000 connections are made daily to the AT&T Wi-Fi network from just New York parks. It is a great start from AT&T to let public access free Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi at city parks are free for all user and most of the AT&T smart phones and devices will be able to automatically connect and switch seamlessly between AT&T’s Wi-Fi and wireless networks. That Wi-Fi doesn’t get counted toward customer’s data plans.
